a) Consistency- i.e- training your dog to sit- speak clearly, say the command (sit), model the behaviour (push rear end down), use a reward system
b) Repetition- No more than 10 minutes at a time/3 times a day- do command many times- focus on one command as oppose to many- perfect each individual skill before moving onto the next
c) Positive Reinforcement (i.e. treats)- go over acceptable types of treats/how many- how too many treats can promote obesity and diabetes
d) Stability- Emphasis routine- children have to have a daily schedule for the dog that it can follow based on what they are doing
e) Seperate place (i.e. crate)- leave alone when its in there
